Follywood Productions is one of the South's newest and fastest-growing event coordinating services. We work with festivals, fundraisers, university and corporate events, weddings & private parties, nightclubs and bars to provide them with top-notch live entertainment and promotions.

We're currently seeking a booking and promotions intern at University of Alabama for Fall 2010 & Spring 2011. Interns can start as soon as Aug. 23. Work requirements are roughly 10 hours per week.

This is a paid internship, and applicants are expected to be able to handle commission-based employment, which means pay is dictated by earnings - interns will be paid a percentage of profit from each event that they book and promote. Applicants should have strong people skills, phone skills, work ethic, and a growing knowledge of new original live music. Also, a high level or responsibility and maturity is a must. Many of our events take place after hours, so we expect anyone representing Follywood Productions to be courteous, respectful, patient, confident, pleasant and (most importantly) sober during work hours.

This is a great opportunity to learn from music business executives with over seven years of experience booking and promoting events in the Southeast. You will be working with some of the best venues and most talented artists in the South.

This position is available to college students ages 20-24.

Interested students can reply to this ad, and we'll shoot you an e-mail so you can send a resume & cover letter, along with a brief description of why you think you would be a good fit for this position.
